Nigeria's Super Falcons win 2014 African Women Championship


The Super Falcons of Nigeria this evening October 25th beat Cameroon 2-0 to win the 9th African Women Championship 2014 which took place in Namibia. Football stars Desire Oparanozie and Asisat Oshoala gave Nigeria the victory after scoring the two goals in the match. This will be the 7th time Nigeria has clinched the title. Super Falcons Asisat Oshoala was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player

Graphic pics: Man cut into pieces at railway crossing line in Ibadan


This horrific scene happened around 5.30pm today at the railway crossing area in Bodija Ojurin in Ibadan. A man was found dead cut in two on the railway tracks. No one saw what happened, but they suspect he was crushed by a train. The pics are really graphic...will share one...but be warned, it's really graphic. See it after the cut if you have the heart..

President Jonathan reshuffles cabinet


Following the resignation of seven ministers last week, President Jonathan has reshuffled his cabinet, appointing temporary ministers to take up the positions of those that resigned. Announcing this today October 22nd after the Federal Executive Council, theMinister of State II for Foreign Affairs, Nurudeen Mohammed who now supervises the Ministry of Information, said theMinister of Defence, Lt. Gen. Aliyu Gusau will now double as the Minister of State for Defence whiletheMinister of Special Duties, Taminu Turaki (SAN) will act as the Supervising Minister of Labour and Productivity. Continue.
